“Like the spiritual warfare over the souls of men, there are battles in heavenly realms over nations because of what they stand for as well as over the people in those nations. The enemy hates America because of the God we were once united under and the believers who represent Him.
Part of the epic battle manifests as hatred directed at Christians. There are cultural conflicts about worldview; heaven and hell, righteousness and unrighteousness, freedom and bondage, truth and lies, but it all comes down to three words; God or man. A person’s foundational assumptions about God and man directly influence their philosophy of law and government.
This is why we see the intense, moral battle for America’s soul and over whether or not to uphold the US Constitution as the law of the land. Though not perfect, America made it this far in history because we once sought to glorify the Lord, obey His commands, and there was no resistance to advancing the Christian faith.
A few months ago, however, George Barna released yet another disturbing study finding that less and less people in America today believe in or support Christianity. The alarming title was:
‘U.S. Moving Toward Elimination of Biblical Worldview as Cornerstone of Society’.
Stop for a few seconds and consider the word, ‘elimination.’ It took time to reach this point. While we were sleeping, the enemy of our souls and enemies of America have worked overtime to cancel Christianity. They have planted more weeds than we have seeds.”

Christianity without courage is cultural atheism.”
“Who would have ever believed the day would come when men would say that they too can bear children and menstruate and thus must fight for ‘period-equity”?
Or that drag queens would be allowed to read fairy tales to very young children in public libraries? This kind of sexualist thinking and behavior is spreading rapidly in a nation obsessed with its overblown emphasis on individual rights for a select few at the expense of others.
It’s difficult to even have a real conversation on the many social issues of our day, such as policies advocating unrestricted immigration and sweeping proposals to combat climate change. Or issues regarding racism. To merely question the viewpoints of secular left radicals on social issues is denounced as hateful, bigoted, and racist. We who are Christians are told that if we want to be known as good citizens, we should keep our antiquated views to ourselves. We are made to feel embarrassed about defending tradition marriage and a sane understanding of gender. Like a deer caught in the headlights, we don’t quite know what to do and whether we are willing to pay the price of fidelity to Scripture. We are shamed into silence.”

“In the current climate, debate is becoming a lost art – partly because of a general decline in the study of logic and rhetoric, but mostly because of the general feminization of culture and its consequent disdain for open verbal combat.
Gone are the days of Luther and Erasmus slugging it out over the question of original sin. Today both men would be accused of being petty, mean-spirited, and downright un-Christlike. I have often said: “The Eleventh Commandment is, ‘Thou shalt be nice’….and we don’t believe the other ten.’
One of the negative results of this is no longer being able to deal with ideas without attacking the people who hold them. Disagreements quickly deteriorate into arguments and worse. Consequently, taking a position on an issue carries the automatic assumption that one is utterly opposed not only to the opposing view, but to all who hold it. To the anti-Critical Social Justice cam, those on the side of CSJ are all Cultural Marxists. Conversely, to the social justice camp, those who oppose their cause are all racists (even fellow black people like me who, according to their definition of racism, can’t be racists…..but I digress).
The result is a standstill – a demilitarized zone that exists, not because hostilities have ceased, but because we all tacitly believe there is no solution.
Meanwhile, well-meaning Christian lay-people find themselves at a loss. Which side do they choose? There are ‘big names’ on both sides, so who’s right?”
